Sotheby's and the Myths of Cecil Beaton

Sotheby's presents in the Canal Foundation a generous retrospective of the work of the brilliant British photographer and designer, with 116 exclusive portraits of "Myths of the 20th Century"

Myths of the 20th century (Mitos del siglo XX) snapshots in which relevant figures of the past century are portrayed, such as Dalí, Coco Chanel, actors such as Marlos Brando, Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe and even royals - like Elizabeth II of England or the Duke of Alba, Jacobo Fitz-James Stuart.

The exhibition, which can be visited until August 19 at the headquarters of the Canal Foundation (at number 2 of the Madrid street Mateo Inurria) and has been co-curated by Joanna Ling, director of Cecil Beaton Studio Archives of Sotheby's. This season Photo España has ninety exhibitions spread across several Spanish cities: 530 artists are represented and more than twenty additional events have been organised.
